Review: Taco Bell Loaded Grillers

Like a chubby, semi-spanish, acne-covered Phoenix rising from the ashes, Taco Bell is back and here to stay. 2012 was a strange year for the fast food giant. The Doritos Locos Taco took off and easily became one of the most successful new fast food products in 2012. They had a bit of a slump there for a while riding on the Cantina Bell Menu and the Locos Taco wave, not introducing any new items for a while there in the summer months. Then they came back at the end swinging, launching a new dessert menu, the new XXL Nachos, and now The Loaded Grillers.

The Loaded grillers are pretty much just mini burritos that are designed to be based off popular appetizers like Chicken Wings, Potato Skins, and Nachos (I know, it is as stupid as it sounds). These things are 99 cents each which is pretty good value for the size. They have some good heft to them too which leads me to the one big complaint I have over all. There is a lot of tortilla in these, hence the heft, so it takes quite a jaw to bite through them if you get a stale or overcooked tortilla. Now on to each individual one.

I will start with the strongest of the three in my opinion.

The Loaded Potato Griller: Designed to taste like potato skins this loaded griller is Taco Bell's warm season potatoes, sour cream, nacho cheese, and bacon bits. Sounds simple and kind of gross I know. Well it was actually pretty good. There were tons of bacon bits in it, which were flowing out of the streams of cheese and sour cream. The potatoes are always good at Taco Bell, and there were just the right amount. With the flavor of the potatoes and the bacon, plus the consistency of the cheese, it all really blended into a nice package of almost a gooey hash brown burrito. It also was the most filling of the three so if you need to get full for cheap, this is a winner.

Rating: 4/5 "It's Just Swell"

The Spicy Buffalo Chicken Griller: I think the name gives up what this is supposed to taste like. Does it taste like a buffalo wing? Not at all. That is not to say it isn't any good though. This is just chicken, Lava sauce, and sour cream. Boring sounding I know. The lava sauce is meant to be like the buffalo sauce. Problem is it taste nothing like it. It is spicy, but it is more of a spicy cheese sauce then buffalo. This one reminded me more of a taquito with sauce in it. I actually love all the Lava Manu items at Taco Bell so I liked it a lot but if you do not like Lava Sauce stay away from this one.

Rating: 3/5 "It's Just Meh"

The Beefy Nacho Loaded Griller: Why make a griller taste like a menu item you already have? I don't know. It is Taco Bell, they have never been the brightest when it comes to menu items. This one brings back the classic "lets take what we already have, switch out an ingredient, and call it something new" Taco Bell Strategy. It is just the Beefy Crunch Burrito, but smaller. I don't hate it, but it is just boring. There is nothing here that makes me want to taste it again. It is just stuffing for 99 cents. Not to mention because they switched to the little red tortilla strips the get soggy really quick, which takes away the crunch that is supposed to make it good.

Rating: 2/5 "It's Not Worth It "

All in all it was fun to try these and I definitely see myself getting them again. For only 99 cents they would be an awesome addition to the Value Menu, which is shrinking rapidly. I am just happy Taco Bell is back to its glory days again. Heres to hoping that 2013 brings even more uninspired tasty crap!

Review: Taco Bell Desserts

So the XXL Nachos were not the only thing Taco Bell released this month. The also dropped two new dessert items on their Value Menu. I told you, they came back with a bang.

No, the ChocoTaco is not coming back. I know, bummer.

Now that we are passed the initial disappointment, let us move on to what they did decide to come up with.

1. The Churro

This one seems pretty freaking obvious. A deep fried, cinnamon covered piece of dough that is eatable with one hand? How does this not exist yet?! Now you might be saying, don't they already have this? No, this is not a giant cinnamon twist. Cinnamon Twists are more like cinnamon pork grinds, this is more like a donut. Surprisingly enough, this is a really good churro too. It was hot with a crispy cinnamon-sugar coated outside and a soft, doughy inside. Tasted fresh from the Texas State Fair. For only 99 cents, it was a good value too.

Rating - 5/5 "It's the Bee's Knees"

Nice Wrap Job

2. The Taco Bell Cookie Sandwich

Do not let the shape of this thing fool you, or the ridiculous wrapper (seriously, I felt like this was something from an elementary school cafeteria line) fool you, this is another winner. The cookie itself is soft but firm enough to stay in one piece with every bite. The icing is rich but not so thick it overwhelms the cookies. It all blends really well and there was actually a solid amount of chocolate chips too. A good attempt at copying the cookie sandwich from The Great American Cookie Company and at a little over a $1 it is a bit more than the churro but still pretty good value.

Rating - 4/5 "It's Pretty Good"

BONUS: The Carmel Appel Empanada

This is already a Taco Bell dessert but is getting lots of press with the release of the other two new desserts. It is also one of the most underrated Taco Bell items and fast food desserts out there. This thing blows the Apple Pie at McDonalds out of the water. the crust is coated in cinnamon-sugar and is crispy and flaky. The inside is a gooey mix of apple chunks and carmel gooey goodness. Warning to those who have yet to have it, the insides are scalding hot so be cautious while eating.

Rating - 4/5 "It's Pretty Good"

For all those people who think, "I really could use something sweet to wash down that large amount of shit I just ate" then Taco Bell dessert is perfect for you! As for me, I just might stop buying so many burritos and start investing in these dollar treats more often. Good job Taco Bell. I like where this is heading.

Review: Taco Bell XXL Nachos

Good old Taco Bell is officially back!

After almost a year with no new trashy-Taco-Bell releases and the introduction of their 'upscale' Cantina Menu, the Bell is back to its glutinous-piled-high-garbage-filled glory with the release of the newest member of the XXL line - the XXL Nachos.

That is one hell of an entrance.

Taco Bell released the XXL Steak Nachos, a mountain of cheese, cheese, steak, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. It actually doesn't sound to bad either does it?

I have to warn, the Volcano Nachos are my absolute Taco Bell Staple. I am addicted to them, so it was hard for me to justify passing up those to try this, or just making these GIANT Volcano Nachos. The things I do for you people.....

They made a whole new container just to put these in. It shows right off the bat how obscenely large these nachos are. I can eat A LOT of Taco Bell, but even for me this thing was pretty filling. Was it any good? Yeah, it was actually. Their normally rubbery steak actually went really well with the crunchiness of the chips. The weird flavor of the steak was almost complimented by the amounts of melted cheese. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked the steak on Taco Bell Nachos. The sour cream, pico, and guacamole also made sure there was not a chip left untouched. That being said I kind of wish my chips were not touched by the guacamole because that stuff is nasty. It is beyond processed and ruined the section of chips it hit. I got lucky and they dropped some beans in mine too but I am positive they are not supposed to be there. My advice, ask for them. They add a lot and help keep things together. I also wish they sprayed on at least one of their many sauces to give these a bit more .... pizzaz? They just got boring after a while and with so many sauces (like volcano) why not? Seems like a wasted opportunity.

Rating 4/5- "It's Pretty Good"

They could be better but they are still pretty tasty. For $6, it is a steak-filled meal that will make any Taco Bell fatty a happy camper. I am just glad to see Taco Bell return to form and start pumping out what they do best, boat loads of shitty food.

Taco Bell Dessert Reviews to follow soon. I am off to go try and sleep of my Taco Bell Hangover.

Review: Taco Bell Doritos Locos Tacos

You ever had someone in your life that you love and care about deeply? Then that person falls into some hard times, makes bad choices, and does dumb things. That does not shake you though, and you have faith they will pull through. In fact, you do everything you can in your power to help them and make sure they make it through this hard time. Despite your love and affection, they just keep disappointing you until, after much thought and heartbreak, you give up. Then, just as you have moved on in your life, they come back better then ever! They promise of great new things and say they have changed and things are different. In the back of your mind, you are still wondering if they can be trusted.

This is how I feel about Taco Bell Nowadays.

They have had a rough year. They have been raising prices, putting out crap (like their breakfast), and have stood by their choices. Well now times are changing. Taco Bell has just changed their slogan to Live Mas. They also introduced their most hyped item EVER, the Doritos Locos Taco. In a partnership with Doritos they have come together to make something...... spectacular.

This is the first item from Taco Bell in months that I can say lives up to the innovation standards I have come to expect from the fast food giant. They have gone back to their roots, taking one of their original (and I would say one of their best) items, the taco, and have shook it at it's core. There is not much you can do to a hard taco. They realized they can only shove so much in it (and have probably tried everything they can) so why not change the taco itself. It is now a crunchy Nacho Cheese Dorito flavored shell. Everything else about the taco remains the same, only the shell has changed.

I first thought this sounded like a horrible idea and was going to fail. Doritos are way to flimsy to hold together as a shell. Taco Bell fixed that by lining the inside with some sort of thin edible wax coating that holds the shell together better then the original shell. I imagined it would taste like a taco shell covered in Macaroni and Cheese powder. Thankfully, it doesn't. It taste like a Dorito. In fact, it is better than the chips. The powder flavoring is not laid on as thick, so it gives you a lighter tasting flavor that compliments the beef, cheese, and lettuce so well.

Rating 5/5 "It's The Bee's Knees"

Taco Bell has done something good here and I really hope they continue the trend. I am not ready to trust them 100% quite yet but this is a good start.

review: Taco Bell Breakfast aka FirstMeal

So I recently was in Oklahoma City for a weekend. I decided I could use this road-trip to stop by one of the few Taco Bell location that has breakfast! I for one was really excited to try FirstMeal. I love Taco Bell. It is one of my favorite fast food places not only because I like the food but the variety and creativity of some of the menu items is cool too. Anyhow, needless to say this die hard Taco Bell fan was really looking forward to this breakfast. How was it you ask?

Lets just say I was extremely disappointed. Here is a rundown of every item and why it did not live up to my expectations. Also a heads up, they ran out of the Cini-bites so those are not reviewed here. I was mad too.

Grande Skillet Burrito- So this was the only thing on the menu I felt like I might get again someday. It is just egg, steak, potatoes (the fiesta potatoes), cheese, and pico. The thing that made this burrito good was the Pico. It really made the burrito light and fresh. The steak was pretty bland and the eggs has that mass-produced taste. It also was not that big for being close to three bucks.

Review 4/5 - "It's Pretty Good"

The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Burrito- So this was pretty horrible. the bacon was just bacon bits. and not even crispy, cooked ones but raw, chewy ones. Why couldn't they just get normal bacon?

Review- 1/5 "it's Flippin Horrendous"

The Steak, Egg, and Cheese Burrito- Taco Bell's steak has always been pretty weak. This burrito shows that even more. there was a sauce in it but I honestly couldn't even taste it. I was hoping it was the baja sauce but I don't think it was.

Review - 3/5 "It's Just Meh"

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Burrito- Just like the bacon, but with really bad, freeze dried crumbled sausage. Only thing you can really taste is the cheese. This sausage is horrible.

Review- 2/5 "it's Not Worth It"

Hash Brown- Think of a McDonalds hash brown that was left in the grease pit. It was literally oozing with grease. So gross.

Review-1/5 "it's Flippin Horrendous"

Johnsonville Sausage Breakfast Wrap- So this was some ol bullshit. This is supposed to be a sausage round patty, egg and cheese. Nope, It was just that freeze dried sausage again, making it just a bigger burrito? I am assuming they just had no more patties. It also was super surprising just how small this is. Thing of a mini crunch-wrap.

Review- 1/5 "it's Flippin Horrendous"

I think this effort is a huge failure on Taco Bell's part. They should be able make something crazy and good for breakfast, not this crap. The guys in the food lab need to put on their thinking caps and fix this horrible mistake. Throw some Volcano sauce on it or something!

Overall Review: 1/5 "It's Flippin Horrendous"

Review: Taco Bell Triple Steak Stack

I am a manly man. I pride myself on being a manly man. I like facial hair, lady's, driving fast, Dr. Pepper Ten, and Steak. I love a good slab of steak.

Note how I said "good" slab of steak.

Taco Bell Steak = Good?

No.

I went into this with very low expectations. The only thing good I have had steak related from Taco Bell is the quesadilla, which is actually more due to the sauce than the meat itself. The steak at the Bell for those who have not had it, is interesting. Imagine a wet, rubbery piece of Jerky that is only half dried out. That is Taco Bell steak to me.

So lets put it into a nine inch flatbread, fill it with cheese and charge $5 for it. Sounds like a good idea right?

Actually, not such a horrible idea. I am glad Taco Bell tried something that is at least entirely new. This is really just cheese, steak, and a flatbread. That is it. So there is not a whole lot to say. It has a lot of steak, that is for sure. It also lacks a lot of flavor and excitement. The steak at Taco Bell gets old pretty fast. Out of the hundreds of sauces they have at Taco Bell I do not understand why they did not put one on this. Thankfully, I had a bunch of the Fire Roasted Salsa I am in love with there and used plenty of it to make things more interesting.

Rating 3/5 "It's Just Meh"

I Can't say I hated it. I actually kinda liked it. I want to try it again but add some volcano sauce to it or something. It's biggest problem is it is $5. I do not go to Taco Bell to get one thing for $5. That does not make any sense to me. Oh well, what can you do.

Review: Taco Bell XXL Chalupa

Thank you Taco Bell. You somehow have found a way to shovel a massive boatload of shit into millions of Americans stomachs. Yes I am of course talking about the, actually I guess I just described every item at Taco Bell didn’t I?

Huh, funny how that works.

Anyhow, I am talking about the XXL Chalupa from Taco Bell. This is not a new item to their menu of course. God forbid they get too creative with their cheap ingredients. No, this actually came out last year around October as well. It is basically just a Chalupa, but way bigger and full of more crap.

To be fair, I actually do not hate it either. I think the Chalupa is one of Taco Bell’s better items, although they have gotten way over-priced in recent times (they are getting close to $3 a pop now). Imagine just taking all three Chalupa fillings and dumping them into one GIANT Chalupa shell. It tastes exactly how you imagine it to. Lots of flavors mixing together to form a pretty big mess. I got the beef version and it tasted most like the Baja Chalupa with nacho cheese added in. The shell is a little flimsy and will probably break every time no matter what so I definitely recommend this to be eaten when you are capable of operating a fork and knife.

Rating 4/5 “It’s Just Swell”

This gets big points with me because of the price point. I mean it when I say it is equal to three regular Chalupas (it probably is in calories too) and it is only fifty cents more than a regular Chalupa. I have yet to try the steak or chicken versions but the beef is worth the price. If you life Chalupas or the crap Taco Bell shovels for food, you will like this.

I MADE A BETTER CHEESY GORDITA CRUNCH!!

I was at Taco Bell the other night and decided to get creative. I made a new and improved version of a Cheesy Gordita Crunch. You get one of the Chicken Flatbreads (I prefer the original) and a crunchy taco and BING BANG BOOM!

My Creation!!

It was damn good I will say. It does not exactly fit right but it tastes good but hey, it is a cheaper version!

Anyone have any other good creations they make themselves?

Oh and the next review is going to be a HUGE fall beer review. So get ready!

Review: Taco Bell Bacon Ranch Flatbread and Original Flatbread

YES! A new menu item from Taco Bell!! Wait, it is just a redone version of another item? Oh well at least it had BACON!!! Wait, it is just "bacon flavored" ranch? Well it is still only 99 cents!! Oh, it is the as filling as a piece of toast? WHAT THE F*$& TACO BELL!?

Just when I thought they were ready to break out of there mold, Taco Bell drops this crap on us. Even my girlfriend (who hates Taco Bell) commented on how Taco Bell seems to be getting desperate with their new stuff. Taco Bell, I understand you want to create new items that are "Value" but I am so sick of this crap that you have been shoveling us that I would prefer you make, or at least bring back something halfway good (Bacon Ranch Chalupa anyone?) that cost a bit more then this garbage. Anyways on to the review.

The Original Chicken Flatbread

There is not much to these things so the review will be short. The flatbread it self is good, its just the gordita shells. It is almost like a pita but a bit softer and fluffier. When warm and smothered in cheese it is very tasty. The Flatbread is stuffed with cheese, a few bits of chicken (and I mean a FEW), and chipotle sauce. Now these things are tiny. They barely even justify the 99 cents they cost. That being said, I love the chipotle sauce and they taste really good. I just wish they were bigger. For only a buck though, they make a nice little side to whatever one normally gets at Taco Bell. Think of it as a little bonus.

3/5 "It's Just Meh"

The Bacon Ranch Flatbread

Those bastards at Taco Bell need to watch their backs cause I am pissed about this one. Why in God's name would you put bacon in somethings name when it has no actual bacon?! WTF is that?! This one is literally the same as the other one but replace chipotle sauce with "bacon" ranch. Who makes ranch flavored like bacon?! Ug this one hurt me. It just pissed me off. They put bacon on the bacon ranch Gordita! Why not on this? Freaking cheap ass Taco Bell.

2/5 "It's Not Worth It"

Yes I realize they are the same price and almost the same thing but the Bacon Ranch looses a point for being a lying SOB. Taco Bell, you are loosing me, and I mean it. This is getting old. If you raise your prices again within the next year I am done. My wallet can only take so much abuse for your shitty food and your new stuff is not cutting the mustard.

Tune in soon, I will have a review on the two new Sonic hotdogs. One is surprisingly awesome, and one is a huge letdown! Can you guess which is which?!

Review: Beef XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito

I cannot decide if this is the Taco Bell I like or if this is more like the crap they have been shoveling lately as specialty items. I mean it is more of the same yes, but at the same time it is something new and I honestly was kind of excited to try this item. There is a TON of stuff shoved into this thing. Heck, mine broke open in like three spots before I even opened it. So what is it and how was it?
looks like it was a little to big

The XXL grilled stuffed burrito is beef, rice, beans, sour cream, guac, fiesta salsa, avocado ranch, and cheese. So do these things blend, or does it just taste like a handful of shit? I am going to go with meh, not quite shit... but still not awesome. Lets start with the good. The fiesta salsa always adds a great freshness to the grilled stuffed burrito. I LOVE the avocado ranch sauce. it makes it creamy but light. I honestly wish they would of just done that and scratched the quac. That is my first complaint. They quac is so over processed to the point where it just taste like chemicals. Another complaint is just way too much stuff that does not really turn into anything. It all just seems to add up to turn into filler. The only things I could really taste was the salsa and avocado ranch. I suppose it might be cause I got beef or because it is a grilled stuffed burrito but it still was kind of a disappointment.

Rating- 3/5 "It's Just Meh"

I am glad they tried something interesting and new, even if it did not work that well. I am still loving the avocado ranch and want to add that to everything there! That and the volcano Sauce.

Two other notes.

1. Crunch wraps are only 99 cents this week. Looks like Taco Bell is adding a new weekly value item every week this summer. Genius on there part.

2. Anyone who is watching the NBA Finals and has been, this is for you. I have learned to HATE the heat at this point. Going into the finals I really had no problem with them and was neutral to who one. Now it had turned into a burning hate for them and I want to watch them loose. This is no fault but theirs either. Just watching them and their behavior pisses me off. Just venting.

Review: Taco Bell Cheesy Double Decker Taco

Once again Taco Bell has managed to come out with a promotional item that seems so simple and obvious, I can guarantee  people probably thought this was already on the menu. Is is really that hard Taco Bell? I mean bring back some of your old promotions. All you did was add freaking nacho cheese to a double decker taco?! I really hope this "add-sauce-BAM-new-item" thing does not become a trend. Taco Bell's ability to come up with crafty seasonal items is one of the best things about the place. Anyways, regardless of my complaining about the originality of the promotion, it is still a pretty good item.

The Cheesy Double Decker Taco is, as described by the Taco bell website, a flour tortilla filled with beans and nacho cheese sauce wrapped around a classic crunchy taco. Like I said above, it pretty unexciting. That being said, the item itself is not half bad. When I was a kid I used to love the double decker tacos. They were the best of both worlds! I got a taco and a bean burrito in one bite. Eventually they got kinda pricey and I stopped getting them. Now I think the traditional one is at around $1.50 or so. Still not a lot but  there are more exciting things on the menu for that much. Hell, the Cheesy Gordita Crunch (In my opinion Taco Bells crown jewel) is only $1.99 at my Taco Bell. This double decker however is only $.89. That is $.61 cheaper then the original, and they add cheese sauce. I hope I am not the only one who thinks this shows how cheap it really is to make the food at Taco Bell where they can afford to add something and drop the price by almost half.

Rating 3/5 -"It's just meh"

It is good on a basic level. I mean if you like Taco Bell's tacos and like beans and cheese, you will probably enjoy it. And for $.89 cents it is a good bargain item for what is given. I think a regular taco costs the same amount actually.... Anyhow don't go out of your way to get it but next time your at The Bell you mine as well add it on to what you get to try it.

Oh and Taco Bell, go back to the glory days of promotional items. I will list my favorite three of yesteryear below.

1. The 3,5,and 7 layer nachos
2. The Bacon Club Chalupa
3. Okay I don't remember what it is called but it was a burrito that had steak, red tortilla strips, and a bunch of other stuff and was so good. I think I went to taco bell everyday that month because of it.

Anyways thats all for now! Does anyone else have anything they miss from Taco Bell?

Review: Taco Bell Pacific Shrimp Burrito

I almost just skipped this review entirely. Taco Bell is known for crappy fast food. That is why people like it. No one goes to Taco Bell thinking "I am ready for a high quality meal". If you do, you have some very low standards my friend. Anyways I am getting frustrated with the bell lately because ever sense their beef scandal they are pushing "higher quality". Now everyone knows that is some ol BS because it is Taco bell. Regardless, now they are selling shrimp again. Shrimp, as in seafood. As in something Taco Bell should not be selling. I tried the Shrimp Taco last year, and it was horrible. So in my infinite wisdom, I decided to try the burrito hoping it might be better.

So the first thing I need to say is the shrimp is not good. It is exactly what you would expect from fast food shrimp. It is small, way to salty, and has no plumpness that I like in shrimp. Like I said, it is Taco Bell so who is surprised by that. Another thing that pissed me off is you only get six shrimp in the burrito. It is not a small burrito and is almost $4, so the fact they only put six in it was not cool. The rest of the burrito is where it sets itself apart from the taco. The rest of the burrito was nothing exciting, it was just fresh. It is lettuce, pico de gaio, cheese, and avocado ranch sauce. It is pretty big considering that is all the burrito is. The lettuce was plentuful, the pico was fresh tasting. Taco Bells Avacado Ranch sauce is one of the most underappreciated things taco bell has and I wish they would use it more.

Rating- 3/5 "It's Just Meh"

The burrito is better than I expected. It feels light and yet filling. Unfortunately the bad shrimp and the insane price point kills it. If it had steak or chicken it be an easy 4/5 but in the meantime, if you are on lent and can't eat meat it is a good substitute for Taco Bell.

Review: Taco Bell Quad Steak Burrito

So here is another Taco Bell review. Anyone who looks at this blog often will see Taco Bell Reviews most.
So I find it kind of ironic this came out the same week as all this controversy regarding Taco Bell's meat quality. I do not think this has anything to do with that being as one, the problem is with their ground meat, and two, this came out way to fast. Anyways a quick description of what a quad steak burrito is. As described by the Taco Bell website, it is "Four portions* of Taco Bell’s new thick and tender steak, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla filled with seasoned rice, fire-roasted salsa, reduced-fat sour cream and cheddar cheese." So at first I thought this thing just sounded boring. It sounded like another typical Taco Bell item, just filled with more meat to help push Taco Bell's new steak.

Now it definitely succeeded on the steak front. There is lots of steak in this thing. I do not think I got all four portions in mine personally, I would guess I got three, but still thats a lot of steak. Another thing this burrito has going for it is size. It is big, not huge, but definitely filling. I got just the burrito and I was pretty full, which is rare for me to do with one item from Taco Bell. Another thing that really kicked the burrito up is the fire roasted salsa. I was impressed with how much flavor a little bit of that stuff gets. I really liked it when I put it on things when it came out as a new sauce and it does a good job here adding flavor.

Now I do have some gripes. First thing is I feel like, as I said, I got screwed on my steak. the burrito had way too much rice. This is probably just because my Taco Bell is very inconsistent with items, so I cannot say this is the case with everyone. The new steak is also disappointing, I didn't really see much of a difference. It just seems to be cut into bigger pieces. It still has that nasty clear goo covering it which freaks me out. My biggest complaint by far is price though. This thing is expensive. I am talking like five dollars expensive. The item is so expensive the combo only comes with the burrito and a drink! I am a cheap guy though so that might not upset everyone like it did me. I am just used to cheap Taco Bell goods.

Rating- 3/5 "It's Meh"

Overall its worth trying, especially if you like Taco Bell steak. From there you can be the judge, but I am not a very big fan of this thing. Once again Taco bell provided a weak new item.

On to the next one

Taco Bell Beefy Crunch Burrito

So this is remarkably my first Taco Bell post, but certainly not my last. You will all soon learn I have a huge love for the Bell and eat it way tooooo often. I do not really know why I like it so much because it is all sooo bad and horrible for me but I don't care, it is my biggest food flaw. I do understand it all really sucks and everything there is pretty much the same thing in a different package but damn I love it all.

So what I got is the 99 cent Beefy Crunch Burrito. It is A burrito filled with beef, nacho cheese, rice, sour cream, and something you will not find in any other Taco Bell item yet, the Flaming Hot Frito's. Your typical taco bell fair for 99 cents but still a pretty full burrito.

Okay So the biggest thing about this is obviously the Frito's, which do give the burrito a great crunch. Unfortunately they are not that hot so the burrito itself is kind of bland. If they sprayed some volcano sauce on this or something is would have been better, but then it would just be a volcano burrito so no point. The Frito's are all that really makes this thing special. I have gotten this thing a few times and if you do not get enough Frito's it kind of sucks. Thankfully my local Taco Bell loads up on them and I am getting my Frito fix.

Rating 3/5- "It's Meh"

So all in all I suppose this is an alright item for only 99 cents. I love the stuff thats has crunch at taco bell so I like it ,but it is just too bland. If they raise the price, which I am sure they will if this does well, I don't really see myself buying this again. As far as a value burrito though, it is a good addition. Give it a shot while it's still cheap.

Party on Wayne, Party on Garth
